Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu is a Pro Canadian poker player. He has won six World Series of Poker ( WSOP ) bracelets and two World Poker Tour ( WPT ) titles.

Besides winning more live poker tournaments than Justin Bonomo and Brynn Kenney, he is also the third most successful poker player.

He was inducted into the famous Poker Hall of Fame in 2014.

During the Early Years

Dan Negreanu was born on 26 July 1974 in Ontario, Canada. His parents had immigrated to Canada seven years before he was born.

As a troublesome child, Negreanu was threatened with expulsion from his North York school for poor manners and disobeying school rules.

He was a very ambitious young man and wanted to become a professional snooker player. He learned how to play poker at the age of 15, and at 16, he played card games and bet on sports at bars.

After dropping out of school, he began playing poker in Toronto casinos, charity events, and illegal competitions. This was before the primary focus being on online casino real money, though like most pros he now juggles both on and offline competitions.

During this time, he became friends with Evelyn Ng, who also played poker professionally. Negreanu moved to Las Vegas, USA, at the age of 22 to pursue a career as a professional poker player.

Las Vegas poker tournaments

In 1997, he won three major poker tournaments in Las Vegas. There were two major poker events at Foxwoods Casino, where he earned $55 064 and was named the Best All-Around Tournament player.

There were more victories to follow:

In 2014, he placed second in The Big One for One Drop, which paid him $8,288,001. In 2016, he won $1 million for winning the Shark Cage tournament organized by PokerStars.net.

What happened to him?

Negreanu returned to Canada in 2011, experiencing some success on best canadian online casinos, and joined Team PokerStars for 12 years. They parted ways in May 2019, but he still plays poker online and posts his results frequently on the Full Contact Poker website.

Fruits Go Pop Slot

Fruits Go Pop is a classic in some ways, but it has modern aspects to it as well, so check it out whether you’re a fan of the oldies or not. It’s filled with fruits, and the game area goes from 5 to 27 lines, so it’s riskier to play than many other slots, but it can also pay quite well as is available as many reputable online casinos.

Slot Features

The 77 symbol is the wild, which means it can be used in any regular combination. Wild symbols can be combined with regular symbols. To form a combo, you need either two matching regulars and one wild or one regular and two wilds. Wilds cannot be substituted for scatters.

As these are expanding wilds, having them land just once on a reel will only cover three symbols on that reel. The feature is available for both regular and free spins.

You will find the Star scatter on the reels, which you need to land anywhere on the reels. You don’t need them on the same lines, but you do need three of them on the same reels. You’ll get ten free spins and a 2x multiplier on all regular wins. Additionally, you play with 27 ways to win instead of the default five lines. Unfortunately, you cannot retrigger this feature.

This is a classic theme, and while I wouldn’t call it a great design, it has a certain retro feel that is enjoyable for many players. To trigger the bonus feature, there are 77s and Stars, and to trigger the regular symbols, there are bells, melons, plums, oranges, and lemons, all of which are a staple of slot games on sites like https://www.jokaroom.net/en/ and others.

Generally, Fruits Go Pop Slot is an enjoyable game. Furthermore, if you’re a fan of online slots with high volatility and classic games, you’ll get a lot of enjoyment out of it. It also has an RTP of 96%.

Heartburst Jackpot Slot by Eyecon Games

Heartburst Slot by Eyecon features five reels, four rows and 100 fixed paylines. The RTP of this video slot is 95.63%, the volatility is high, and it has scatters, free spins and a gamble option.

This is not your average fruit-themed slot. Imagine the fruit machines from the early days of gambling, but improved by technology and you will arrive at something like Heartburst.

There are all the familiar bonus features and icons, such as the lucky seven, the bell, and the bar, that you’d expect when playing the best usa online casino games.

Slot Features

– Scatter

The 7 is the scatter symbol. You will receive 15, 20 or 25 free games if you land three, four or five lucky sevens on the reels. Retriggering this feature up to 15 times is possible.

– Heart substitute

There is only a Heart symbol on reels 1, 3 and 5, and it is the only symbol that can replace the lucky seven. The multiplier can expand to cover all reel positions. Wins containing the heart are tripled.

– Gamble bonus

In this case, if you select correctly from one of two options, it pays double or nothing on the last win. You do this until you select ‘take win’ or have made five correct choices.

It is impossible to ignore the allure of an old-fashioned fruit machine, even in todays  online casinos au environment. Heartburst is a high volatility slot game, which can confuse newcomers to online slot machines. The loss limit feature may be worthwhile even for experienced players during autoplay sessions. Before getting cynical, how many old-school slots allowed you to retrigger free spins rounds 15 times? Eyecon has done a great job updating a classic with Heartburst – just make sure you play it with your head and not your heart.

Gambling Movies

What can be an easiest yet more fulfilling gift idea than a gambling movie? If your friend is a movie buff, there’s a high chance they will love this one. Some of the great casino and gambling classics include:

You can gift DVDs / Blurays of any of these movies or perhaps all of them in a thoughtful themed bundle. You could also consider organising a movie night playing any of these movies.

Good Luck Charm

Some gamblers believe that superstitions or good luck charms ‘have their back’ while gambling. These good luck charms can be perceived to support a player against the evil eye,  jealousy, ill-intentions, bad luck and more and indeed strengthen the luck for the player.

Good luck charms can include the likes of clover pendants, horseshoe nails, acorns, cat’s eye gem, Nazar amulet, and more. We need all the luck we can get sometimes!

Personalised Poker Chips

Poker chips are generally very affordable and ‘standout’. They can also make for an excellent gift for someone who plays at tables where these chips are currency (poker, blackjack etc). Many online sites sell personalised poker chips, or you can buy them offline at gift store. Some are themed, or you can put a picture and text and gift them that way. They will surely appreciate a gift idea that has a little thought and effort factored into it.

A Trip to a Casino

All casino lovers dream of visiting a casino at least once in their life. Many frequent them, but in this online age that’s not always a given. Whether you go to a casino australia, or in the UK, or USA, it’s bound to be a memorable gift idea (especially if you give a little spending money too). It could range from a local trip, to the trip of a lifetime (think Las Vegas). You can fulfill their wish by planning a trip to any nearby casino with good vibes or a well known location.

Organising a Poker Night

If you can’t find any casinos that fit the bill, don’t let that put you off. You can instead organise a poker night, as this always makes for an exciting and good humoured night. It’s wise to look into the gaming laws in your area though, before deciding whether to play for fun or money!
